About Tony Griffith
Tony is a Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star.
He
has lectured to magic organisations in France, Holland, Belgium, Norway,
Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Canada
and throughout the U.K. In addition he has also visited the U.S.A on
over 25 occasions including visits to the famous Magic Castle, Hollywood
where he has lectured on five occasions. He has also presented his Close
Up Magic Show at this famous mecca of magic over 100 times.
Tony has a lot of experience in performing for the general public. He has had a number of residencies in hotels and restaurants presenting his own brand of Close Up Magic.
His
services have been used by some of the major companies and hotel chains
in the U.K. Organisations such as Friends Provident, Sun Life, Falmer
Jeans, Honda, Anglian Windows, Amtrax Express Parcels and Elo Touch
Systems are just a few of the companies who have used his magic to promote
their products and services at trade show exhibitions.
Tony has a background of considerable experience in education including the Headship of a Primary School.
On
leaving the teaching profession he used this experience and devised
The Magic of Science show for schools
and since its inception has visited hundreds of primary and secondary
schools throughout the U.K (many of them several times).
For those organisations looking for Speakers, Tony offers The Art of the Magician (Tony's Talk). This is a very visual and entertaining talk.
Tony has written widely on the subject of magic and has a number of
publications to his credit, including
two detailing the science experiments he demonstrated in schools.
During his teaching career Tony was very active in encouraging children to participate in sporting events. He was awarded the MCC Cricket Coaching Certificate and was thrilled to receive it from the world famous West Indian cricketer Sir Garfield Sobers. He also trained and obtained his Soccer Referee’s qualification.
